April was a month of momentum at The Outlier Team. Over the last month, we deepened our skills, shared practical insights, and helped clients make meaningful progress on real business challenges.

In April, our team focused on learning how SharePoint Rules and Quick Steps can replace end-of-life SharePoint Alerts, helping clients maintain reliable notifications and workflows without disruption. We also gained access to Copilot Cowork and are beginning to explore how it can support small businesses with day-to-day productivity and decision-making.

We also published several newsletters continuing our Team Playbooks series, including:

  • Weekly Scorecards – Turning strategy into visible, measurable progress
  • Team Values – Defining the principles that guide decisions and behavior
  • Team User Manuals – Helping teams work better together
  • Calendar Energy Audits – Aligning time with focus and priorities

One of the most rewarding projects in April was helping a client move from basic SharePoint and Excel usage to a clear, practical roadmap for organization-wide adoption. Together, we applied the tools already included in their Microsoft 365 subscription to build pricing applications and create a centralized inventory of marketing materials, laying the groundwork for more consistent, scalable processes over the coming months.

We’re looking forward to May and continuing to help teams turn the tools they already own into systems that truly support their work.
